Article 1: Presentation of the event
The Trail du Val Rancure is an outdoor running competition, organised by the association Courir au Casteller, which will take place on 22/06/2025. The event offers three courses of increasing difficulty:

  • 14 km race: 480m positive ascent.

  • 29km race: 780m climb.

  • 46km race: 1,260m ascent.

Each route is signposted and crosses a variety of paths (footpaths, forest tracks and roads).

Article 2: Conditions of participation
Participation is open to anyone aged 18 and over for the 29km and 46km races, and 16 and over for the 14km race, with parental authorisation for minors. All participants must provide a medical certificate stating that they are not contraindicated in competitive running, dated less than one year before the date of the event, or a valid sports licence (FFA, FFTRI, etc.).

Article 3: Registration
Registration is open online on the official event website until [Registration Deadline]. The number of race numbers is limited to [Maximum number of participants] for safety and environmental reasons. The registration fees are as follows:

  • 14 km: €15

  • 29 km: €30

  • 46 km: €50

No registrations will be accepted on race day.

Article 4: Compulsory equipment
For safety reasons, the following equipment is compulsory for participants in the 29 km and 46 km races:

  • Water supply (1L minimum)

  • Charged mobile phone

  • Whistle

  • Survival blanket

  • Clothing suited to the weather conditions

For the 14 km race, we strongly recommend that you have a supply of water and a mobile phone.

Article 5: Running of the race
Races will start at the following times:

  • 46 km: 7.00 am

  • 29 km: 8.30 am

  • 14 km: 9.30 am

Each course is subject to a time limit:

  • 46 km: 10:00 maximum (closing time: 17:00)

  • 29 km: 7h00 maximum (closing time: 15h30)

  • 14 km: 3h00 maximum (closing time: 12h30)

Refreshment stations will be set up along the route and at the finish. Runners must follow the directions of the volunteers and respect the markings.

Article 6: Safety and medical assistance
A safety system (first aiders, doctors, volunteers) will be in place throughout the event. In the event of injury or difficulty, participants must immediately notify the nearest first-aid post or call the emergency number provided by the organisers.

Article 7: Respect for the environment
The Trail du Val Rancure takes place in protected natural areas. Participants undertake to respect the environment by not throwing any rubbish on the course and by following the instructions of the organisers. Waste collection areas will be available at the refreshment points and at the finish.

Article 8: Rankings and awards
Rankings will be drawn up for each race, with podium finishes for the men's and women's categories. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each category. No cash prizes will be awarded.

Article 9: Conditions of modification or cancellation
The organisers reserve the right to modify the route or cancel the event in the event of force majeure (dangerous weather conditions, government directives, etc.). In the event of cancellation, no reimbursement of entry fees will be made, but participants will have the option of deferring their entry to the next edition.

Article 10: Image rights
By taking part in the Trail du Val Rancure, each runner authorises the organisers to use images (photos, videos) taken during the event for promotional purposes, without financial compensation.

Article 11: Acceptance of the regulations
Registration for the Trail du Val Rancure implies full acceptance of these regulations. Any complaints must be sent in writing to the organisers within 14 days of the event.

Article 12: Liability
The organisers decline all liability in the event of loss, theft or material damage during the event. Each participant is responsible for his/her own civil liability insurance.
